The Living Registry is CAYAB's planned voluntary network for youth farmers, agripreneurs, students, researchers, organisations and allies. Its digital registration service has not yet launched. It is being designed as the first layer of CRAIG, CAYAB's proposed regional agrifood trust infrastructure.

Dominica

CAYAB Executive Member

Dr. Natalia Lugay

Veterinary Officer · Ministry of Agriculture, Dominica

Dr. Lugay's professional work encompasses veterinary services, animal-disease surveillance and initiatives supporting the health and productivity of livestock populations. She works to strengthen veterinary services, support livestock producers and promote practices that advance animal health, food safety and sustainable agricultural development.

She contributes to disease-surveillance and preparedness efforts in Dominica, including discussions and initiatives focused on zoonotic-disease prevention and the One Health approach, which recognizes the close connections between animal health, human health and the environment.

Beyond veterinary health, Dr. Lugay is an avid supporter of climate-smart agriculture and sustainable food systems. She supports development of the national greenhouse-gas inventory and farmer education on agricultural data collection and climate-smart practices, including improved livestock management, apiculture, reduced pesticide dependence and circular agriculture. She also lends support to the Dominica Youth Emergency Action Committee.

Dr. Lugay co-owns a small regenerative farm in the heights of Dominica and advocates for the inclusion of youth and women in agriculture.

As a CAYAB Executive Member, she brings technical knowledge in veterinary medicine, food-system health and agricultural resilience to regional youth-led dialogue and policy development.
