Our mandate

Youth insight with a formal place in regional agrifood decisions.

CAYAB is being established as a non-partisan regional advisory and strategic youth-engagement body for agrifood systems, rural development, food security and agricultural innovation.

Purpose

What CAYAB is here to do

CAYAB provides a structured channel through which Caribbean youth can inform the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of regional agrifood policies and programmes.

    Bring meaningful youth participation into regional agrifood policy, planning and implementation.

    Provide evidence-based recommendations and solutions-oriented youth perspectives to CARICOM processes.

    Promote innovation, digital agriculture, agrifood entrepreneurship, structured markets and sustainable practices.

  4. 04

    Coordinate youth-led initiatives, networks and knowledge-sharing across the Caribbean.

  5. 05

    Advocate for better access to land, finance, markets, technology and institutional support.

  6. 06

    Advance climate resilience and environmental sustainability from a youth perspective.

  7. 07

    Build the capacity of youth representatives to participate effectively in regional policy processes.
